  Teaching Core Knowledge AND 21st Century Skills

  I've been out of the classroom for eight years after having taught history and government for ten.  It's both horrifying and interesting to me that I have forgotten a significant amount of the information I used to teach and expect students to take with them from my classes.  It is the story that remains with me.  If/when I return to the classroom, that is where my emphasis will be.  Thank you for articulating so clearly what I have felt for years.  Thanks also for the book review.  I expect my nine-year-old and I will love reading "A Little History".
