"Just say no" wasn't a bad program in and of itself. What the real wicked beast on the street is the drug war. This is what's costing live and costing more than any first ladies pet project.
While we should work towards getting this legalized, or at least the legal authority for this out of the federal government's hands, we need to use a common sense arguement for it. Legal bud and illegal booze is only going to stop one blackmarket and create another. People are still going to DWI, it's just going to be a different substance.
Sorry guys and gals. The reason I can't get behind this is because I don't understand what government is doing in this in the first place.
Marriage is a commitment between two people, not between the powers that be and two people. Regardless if your religious or not this is still a sacred rite and should be part of a separation of church and state.
This is just another area where the government gets to dictate morality when public welfare is not at stake. I urge people to consider first taking steps to get the government out of their business wholesale.
So instead of meeting them half way to getting the rights that we deserve I'd rather just see them out of everyones business. They don't belong in my personal affairs when public welfare is not on the line.
I love how the new administration sees people exercising their rights (especially the 2nd amendment) as a threat to the American way of life. I think it's pretty telling what the future holds under their rule.
I'm sick and tired of the race card being played in matters such as these. This is NOT racist legislation. It's time for that banter to end.
Any attempt to stop law abiding citizens from their right to bear arms must be stopped. We live in a time when, it seems, critical thinking is at an all time low. Gun bans only create black markets for criminals to take advantage of, it does nothing to the law abiding citizen.
