Furor Over the 'White' Prince of Persia Is Misplaced

In "Memoirs of a Geisha", several of the roles, including the lead role, were played by Chinese, not Japanese, actresses/actors.

It seems to me that would be insulting to the Japanese, but the explanation given was that there weren't enough good Japanese actors.
