    The View From Inside: Why We Need Prison Reform

    Hey Michael, I was fortunate to read Inside for a class during undergrad at Cal State Long Beach.  It was one of the best readings assigned throughout my whole undergrad experience.  I highly recommend it to anyone who is interested in criminal justice.

    A New Drug Czar

    This is a great choice for the Obama administration.  While the the drug problems in America will certainly not dissappear, ending the Reagan-esque War on Drugs is a stepn in the right direction.  Kerlikowske looks like someone that is willing to explore options that previous adminsitrations were precluded from entertaining.  Our correctional systems will always be stocked full of nonviolent drug offenders, but you have to walk before you run.
