I'm really getting tired of this conversation. We don't live in the dark ages here... 60 yrs ago things were different.But this is 2009 and more&more ppl are coming out.. California will never allow prop.8 for gay rights.. And that's sad.5other states allow gay marriages. so why should california be different? Homophbia tht's why.. GLBT's are accepted in the jewish faith.We;re no different from other ppl.Just our preferances in whom we choose to be with ...

Jan,don't u think it would be a better idea for a gay/lesbian person in our judicial system??I'm sure ur aware of Prop.8? I live in california where we're still fighting tht prop to pass.So far only 5 states have passed tht law.U keep saying tht ur poverty free, and native american. u fight for women's rights too? Seems to me tht if Sullivan is elected ur more likey not to be pleased...

To All of those who posted: I'm a lesbian and mother of 3 grown children.What's the differance if The appointed judge is an open gay{lesbian}. tht has no bearing on the job she's trained to do nor inferance to whatever the pres.says. my opinion is tht obama is a "homophob"..don't like it?? tough
For years the GLBT community has fought for Prop.8{same sex marriages} and it's shot down.. there are now 5 states tht accept gay marriages... What's wrong with this picture?
