Have lost hours of my life in book stores and would eat sushi at every meal if I could afford it. I admire people who won't take no for an answer. Future plans include saving the world, or at least motivating a few people out of apathy and into giving a damn.

Do Not Feed the Homeless

Its very easy to judge when you have a roof over your head and you are sure you are doing to eat dinner tonight. To make a statement like "most of these people going to soup kitchens are just looking for hand outs" is very narrow-minded. Where is your compassion?

Maybe I'm just a "bleeding heart" liberal but I also volunteer in soup kitchens and can tell you that while there may be someone now and then who is working the system, the majority of the people we serve are hungry, homeless and cold. And they deserve a meal every bit as much as you or I do. To cut back on services or - especially during a time like this - is simply cruel.
