Steve O is certainly right about this. The cost should be born entirely by the illegals themselves and their employers. Put the job of removal up for bids with the cost and a profit to be recovered from the illegal aliens and their employers. The bidders might even be allowed to require those under a removal order to work for six months on border infrastructure before they are deported. Their labor could be subcontracted to those companies already working on the border. As stated elsewhere if an illegal alien was able to afford a coyote to get him across the border, he should easily be able to pay for a bus ticket home.
Let's keep in mind that no one is advocating the overnight deportation of 12 milllion illegal aliens. There has to be some recognition of the needs of our economy. Cost studies should not be based on an all or none approach.
