  Antonio is correct and I second his positon.  There are, per the Centers for Disease Control, over 800,000 cases of battered men every year.  For the most part, heterosexual men who are battered by women.  And we NEVER, I repeat NEVER hear about them.
  It is too bad that this horrible issue has become genderized, because no one should ever be physically abused.  And that goes for men and women.
