I have seen all manners of this behavior on every side of the fence expressed in this blog. If you dare to read through the CAPS, bias, name-calling and bigotry, you will find those who truly believe in reaching out to their fellow personage with respect, dignity, and love. Let us celebrate the work of those who labor in love and let the haters fall where they lay so someone can pick them up in love!

Even the Word of God can be debated as "truth" or "deception" as it is based on your belief of it being God's divinely inspired Word and whether the Word truly became flesh. I have no contradiction with that; however, do know people that would simply dismiss it as we have seen in this blog. That is their right in their free pursuit of truth. God can (and has) revealed Himself to the world and it received Him not... multiple times over! This blog is about whether or not we shall "love one another (our human brothers/sisters)" so they (unbelievers) will know we are His disciples.

There has been a lot of activity on this blog recently and I have been reviewing 2010 posts as a result. Only one correction in your assumptions of faith-based organizations being funded by the government and being allowed to prostestilize as a result. None of the funding from government sources may be used for programming relating to evangelism, indoctrination, etc. and it cannot be included as a portion of the program. The unfortunate violation of this really comes from many of the various "cultures" whose major religion is so embedded into their culture there is no room for separation when "educating" about the culture. One thing for sure, this has become about profiling all Christian organizations as the same and bashing the whole because of the few. Similar to assuming all African-American males are involved in criminal activity, selling dope, raping women and playing basketball. Ignorance = Ignorance. Profiling = Ignorance + (Prejudice + Catagorization) x Untruth
May we all find freedom in speech even if it offends. I do not have to accept what others believe to be truth unless it is truth for me. That is freedom with dignity, respect, and love. You can be you and I can be me!

Karen commented on the article |The need for a wrap around support structure is definitely needed but not just for the interim or magical "1-year" period. The 20-30% chronically homeless have multiple issues at the core of their homelessness: functional, physical, social, financial, addictive and mental health. A true neighborhood or family environment with a mix of people best supports the development of sustainable changes in a social environment. With the proposed venture of placing these trailers away from a viable neighborhood, the image of placing indians on a reservation comes to mind. The success of MLF appeared to have the other trailers integrated within an existing community.
