carolyn commented on the petition |Please make this retroactive and decrease all non-violent drug sentencing by 2 levels and please make that retroactive. For me this has always been about the sadness and disbelief of lives being lost over non-violent drug offenders.
How can a non-violent drug offender, because of mandatory minimum sentences spend more time in prison that a violent offender that preys on society?? Billiions are being spent each year state and federal on non-violent drug offenders being sentenced far to many years for an addiction. Please take into consideration my comments. There are millions of lives being destroyed as I write this plea, our families included.
