  • Quantifying the Foreclosure Crisis

Noone seems to be mentioning any details.  When I bought my last house I had to put 20% down and got a 30 year fixed loan because I knew they couldn't screw with the interest rate or any "interest only" nonsense.  I knew that if I lost my job, what unemployment payments would be and that, with savings, would carry me for enought time to either get another job or sell the house.
A little foresight and responsibility would go a long way toward a happier life.

  • More on Hawaii's Homeless Exports

I have to admit, as I sit inside whilst outside it is 15°F and snowing that being homeless in Hawaii seems a step up for those outside here.  The shelters here are full the food banks empty.  Salvation Army seems to be broke even after the Christmas collections.

If I ever approach homeless, I may spend my last cent to arrive in your Islands to at least stay warm.  Catch some fish and lie on the beach.

PS  I never did believe the airline ticket to the mainlands nonsense!
