I grew up in a small farming community in northeast Nebraska, and attended Dana College where I graduated with my English for Secondary Education degree.
I taught English and was a speech coach for three years in Fremont, NE, and then moved to Omaha where I taught English and sponsored such clubs as Latino Leaders and the Gay/Straight Alliance at Burke High School. At that time, I also took a part-time position with the Institute for Holocaust Education running the Tribute to the Rescuers Essay Contest (www.adl.org/tribute_to_rescuers/)
Currently, I work at the Anti-Defamation League as the Education Project Director where I run programs such as the Tribute to the Rescuers Essay Contest, No Place for Hate (R) and the A World of Difference (R) Institute.
In my spare time I sing with the MasterSingers, participate in community theater and travel when I can.
