This sounds like part of the trend of taking personal problems and packaging them for entertainment. Our "Biggest Loser" is in the same vein. However, even though that show exploits personal problems for entertainment, the produces package the program in such a way that the American public doesn't feel dirty for watching them. The Belgium show just seems exploitative with no redeeming factor. A year of housing - and what else? How does the woman get back on her feet again? And why does she have to use her looks to get a home to begin with?
Regan, please explain what you mean by "equalist" and why you think feminism is not about equality. Many people are thrown off by the word "feminism" and think it is about putting women first. Feminism is most definitely about issues of equality. Let's compare notes! :-)
