Stephanie, yours was the first AR blog to grab my attention and make me consider starting a blog of my own. I've quoted and linked your posts, sometimes pissing people off in the process, but that's part of the fun! I look forward to reading your work in your new blog home. My rescued pit Lucy sends a nose-bump to Mabel!
Stephanie for the win! This is fabulous. I wish I could print out a few dozen copies and hide them in people's bags and jackets on Thanksgiving. And oh, how I want that shirt.
Thanks for this timely reminder. I was completely horrified when I received a Heifer International catalogue, and I'm glad to see that the injustice inherent in these programs is being thoughtfully articulated.
I emailed Ed Sayres (Director of the ASPCA) yesterday morning urging him to give Oreo to Pets Alive. I monitored Pets Alive's Twitter feed all day, hoping that they'd be allowed to give Oreo a second chance. It hurts my heart that they weren't.
This DID make my day! What a lucky little guy. I'm glad you were able to relocate him safely. I bet he enjoyed hanging out in that pepper, though!
I lived in Boulder for 18 months, but I had no idea that Denver's pit bull ban was so cruel and restrictive. This makes my heart hurt. For such a progressive city, Denver is really lagging behind on animal regulation.
UGH. Having just celebrated Pit Bull Awareness Day with several rescue groups and shelters here in Baltimore, this makes me so sick. To think I used to find Chris Rock funny. Sadly, I'm not surprised, either.
