Disappointing to see yet another example of showbiz hypocrisy. I hope Black Eyed Peas will listen to this petition. Another example of musicians being hypocritical - bands who speak out against tobacco then play at a tobacco-sponsored concert in Indonesia - see http://www.change.org/petitions/tell-utahs-neon-trees-other-bands-drop-tobacco-sponsorship-in-indonesia
Easy to say if you live in a country where smoking is allowed only where it is not going to affect others, and most people know about the dangers of smoking. Unfortunately, that's not how it is in Indonesia http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?f=/c/a/2011/06/12/MN7H1JQBFF.DTL
Big tobacco puts on a front of corporate responsibility where they are restricted by law, but this is the sort of thing they do where they are given free reign. Disgraceful. Unfortunately Nigeria is not the only place where kids are targeted so blatantly - many big international bands are used by tobacco companies in Indonesia.
