I'm the creator of hyperlocavore.com.
Hyperlocavore is a yardsharing community built to assist friends and neighbors in growing shared edible gardens. Anyone, from anywhere can join the site and find or start a yardsharing group.

The other motives behind building the site and promoting the yardsharing idea are to have a positive impact on climate and communities, to lower the cost of food for struggling families and to encourage the revivification of our neighborhoods.

A Rant About Earth Hour

I agree 110% - Earthhour, honestly annoyed me no end. First - why in the world do we have the cities lit up like christmas year round. Some lights are nice, but jeez Louise most places over do it. Cheesyness abounds.

I think the time is WAY past for 'symbolic actions' to 'raise awareness'...Actions that change our odds for survival are LATE, very very late.

So quit trying to 'raise awareness' corporations and people, and start doing things that have a direct impact now, today, this very minute.
