I attended a February 2008 rally in Hartford Connecticut. After that, I threw myself into campaigning for President Obama for 11 months in 5 states. Connecticut, Rhode Island, New Hampshire, Pennsylvania and Florida.

For the past 20+ years, I have been very actively been donating used books and school supplies to mountain schools in Jamaica, West Indies. I put an ad in the local free paper asking for any "gently used" books, shoes, school supplies, clothing, and then I physically haul it all down and personally deliver to schools and clinics in need.
I encourage anyone going to a third world country to plase carry something. You will get back more than you give and the HOPE you give to another in need is priceless and a great footprint to leave in the sand on this journey through LIFE~

The Chronic Pain Petition-New Chronic Pain Disability Scale

I am angry because I was a STATE EMPLOYEE in CT., and I worked more than 10 years (13 actually) before they "ran me out", and forced me to go out on disability retirement. My pension and my SS are (2) separate funds I PAYED INTO. IT IS NOT WELFARE and it is NOT an "entitlement". They will not let me collect both, I can only get 80% of my (3) highest pay years. I worked part time but did overtime a lot. I can barely live on the lousy $900.00 a month. My back is so trashed, I am on so many pain meds that there is no way I could ever get hired. I had back surgery in 1998, and I refused to "stip out" my injury, I want them to continue to pay for my care. The Commissioner said I do not have to! So, I still get the care, but it sucks...I have to wait up to 3-4 months for an appointment. Sometimes I wish I were dead I suffer so much and some days my legs buckle and I cannot even walk.....why is this fair? What can I do?
