Dave(and everyone); I talked to my Senator's office last week-He's Sen. Durbin, the majority whip-and his office said he's going to introduce legislation to repeal DADT. So don't loose hope yet!
Glen, I have to say, some of your arguments are flat out ridiculous! We aren't born with the desire to dominate, or fight, or kill at all! What's wrong with you? That's why we're given the gift of free will. As far as being born gay, let me tell you, when I was 5 years old, before I knew what it meant, i played with my sister's dolls, and was always more comfortable with girls. I'll ask you this question: if you think it's a choice, tell me the exact moment you "decided" to be straight, if that's what you are? It's something you know instinctively, even if you don't accept it.
Yes, I definitely do, Dave. And I don't believe in coincidence! My question for Rick Warrem would be: " O.K., you've denounced the bill to the American media, are you actively working in Uganda to kill this bill?" I think we can all guess what the answer would be. These people-some politicians too-are coming out against the bill here in the U.S., but, are they working in Uganda with the same vigor?
