I have been to the emergency room with my husband 2 times after being in a restaurant with my nut allergic husband. Both times ground nuts were used in a sauce as a thickener (in a curry and a mole sauce) and it was not listed on the description of the menu item. My husband is pretty good about asking staff what is in the food but sometimes the staff doesn't know. It is so important to educate the staff of restaurants!
Because we love our children and children love to show affection to each other by sharing snacks. It can be a matter of minutes. Not every child has an action plan at school. Epi-pens can also save a child having a severe asthma attack.
