Very good two minutes of video. But, who has got the money to put it on TV in high priced time slots? Hmmm, somebody like Mr. Soros, maybe? Sting? Come on, fellas, let loose of some of that stored up "free speech" power.
I offer the following blanket comment that can be applied to just about any issue that is discussed on this site:
The so-called "bottom 95%" of people are screwed without two changes, public funding of election campaigns and hand counted paper ballots as the official count. This should include federal and state elections, so that the buying of legislation does not just all filter down to the state level.
No, I have no idea how this will ever be able to happen under the current system. The Fair Elections Now Act has been introduced into Congress. Have you heard of it? http://www.publicampaign.org/node/38166 As I write, the Supreme Court is poised to strike down any barrier against unlimited corporate money in campaigns.
Just as the ills of communism weakened the Soviet Union, the ills of corporate capitalism and free market politics are weakening the foundation of the United States. Invisible, like undiagnosed osteoporosis, a total collapse from within may be the first symptom that will cause any meaningful change in the way things are done. Let us pray that I am wrong.
