There are so many reasons for doing this. First Pedro Guzman was brought here as a child and grew up here. Sending him to Nicaragua would be sending him to a country that is foreign to him. This is his country. Then he is husband and father to U.S. citizens. Families should not be separated by immigration policy. Then there is simple humanity. Why would you put someone in a jail when he has done nothing wrong. Why would you deprive a child of his father and a woman of her husband?
