  • Taiwan Legalizes Prostitution

Finally someone has some sense to make this right. It is a womans choice and it is mutually beneficial relationship between consenting adults, how on earth is making it illegal justifiable?

  • Las Vegas Mayor Considers Legalizing Prostitution in ‘Sin City’
Andi commented on the article | over 2 years ago

I support this idea wholeheartedly. There is nothing wrong with mutually consenting adults and I think it should be taxed and monitored for safety. It is better to make everyone get regular testing and to have a standard for business. It will protect women as well from being exploited by pimps and also the independent women who are hurt or injured. A legal environment would allow working woman to make a good living, between 2 mutually conscending adults, with more safety and security, as well as fixing the health concerned that are involved. I am ALL for this 100% and I wish I knew more on how to make it legal federally.

It is long overdue. The oldest profession in the world, besides politics and I honestly believe there is absolutely nothing wrong with wanting to share pleasure in this way between two people in a mutually beneficial relationship. I think woman are explioted in office jobs all over the world and this would be liberating and allow many woman to be self employed and able to support their families without struggle and fear. It is up to each person to make this decision for themselves. If someone is ok with sharing this experience with someone, it should be ok. Just because someone is not ok with it for themselves (and that is totally ok) you should not tell someone else what is right for them. This should be a legitimate profession. This should not be an issue of legality but personal choice.

Having several friends who work in this profession, I know it has made them happier, stronger and more secure. They have grown as individuals and made a happy life for their families. Not only that, but the conditions that are happening in strip clubs around the US are MUCH WORSE and very degrading. Prostitution is not degrading... strip clubs are horrid. The men are rude and demanding but not when you see them one on one. Also the woman that do this are NOT sex slaves and they are NOT teenages etc. The majority are consenting adults and the stuff you hear is actually propaganda. It is perpetuated by people who do not know the truth and think these woman are forced into this or do not enjoy it. The girls I know think it is a dream job. They are VERY Happy and love it. They prefer it over other opportunities they get and not only that but the men that see them are also very nice and considerate and it is filling a need for them. It is a win win and makes no sense to make it illegal. The women love it... the men love it... The stories are only one small incident somewhere no one has ever heard of that a girl was brought into slavery or something. If prostitution was legal it would be regulated. Everyone would need to be registered etc and tested and it would prevent this RARE RARE incidents from happening. This does not happen in the circles of professionals. This is a rare case that is outside of the profession... but the news does not want you to know that. If you work at staples there may be someone there who steals, but that doesnt mean you fire everyone there and label them all as theifs at every staples. Right? People are so irrational and do not care to question the things they hear.

  • Ten Myths About Israel and the Palestinians
Andi commented on the article | about 3 years ago

Thank you for posting this... Because of the media in this country, most people have no idea whats really happening there. They do not understand that this is an occupation of Palestinian Territories and how Israel is systematically placing settlements inside this territory to create a Israeli majority, etc etc. It would be very easy to have peace between Palestine and Israel, but Israel isn't willing to give the Palestinians back the land that is rightfully theirs.

I blame the slant of the American Media personally for dumbing down its watchers, and creating racist, separation and dehumanization towards Palestinians when they are simply responding to the Terrorism from Israel.

Wow, that was more than I was planning on writing. Thank you for listening... I hope these posts at the very least cause people to do some research for themselves... If we want peace, we need to put more pressure on Israel to end the occupation!
