  Taking stock of Obama's stimulus package: Part I

  that the criteria for benefits be looked in adifferent form. there are people the do not have childrens that received injuries on the jobs,lost jobs and one spouse works and do not qualify for food stamps for this reason. to look at the out going of income as well as the amount that is received. are just qualify people on the bases that they are unemployed and has a lost of income and not tell people that has worked hard all there lives sell what you have worked for and then reapply.

  Demand Rising for Anti-Poverty Programs Nationwide

  i am very excited to hear that vermont hsa changed how they look at the food stamp applications. i have been praying that someone realized that there are people with out childrens thats worked hard and lost there jobs and need help. i was hurt on my job in 2006 and workman comp. will not pay for me to have surgery, i applied for food stamps, turned down because my husband receives a disabilty check. we lost our home, our car and live in a rental. get food from the food banks thats operated by local churches, but they are running out of assistance, what can you do? the system here is all messed up, florida where i live just raised the wage from $5.00 an hour to $7.00 in sept 2008 but no jobs, go figure. we are suffering here please advise!!
