Mark Stein

Straight, open ally of LGBT (since 1970), animal rescue org director, and aerospace computer engineer. Volunteered in environmental, anti-war, anti-poverty, disaster response, and progressive political activities. I advocate for these causes avidly within my predominantly conservative work environment. Not much time for recreation, but it works for me. I hope to do more of these volunteer activities when I retire from my full-time engineering job, hopefully in about eight years.

I read Barack Obama's books, starting with Dreams of My Father in January '07 (it was an '06 winter holiday present). As most of us know, he is a very engaging writer, and I strongly recommend his works to everyone here.
