  Chatham County District Attorney: Request that Troy Davis Death Warrant be Withdrawn

  I implore you to save Troy Davis' life, and petition the judge to withdraw the death warrant. It would be a travesty and a crime to execute a man with such compelling doubts about his guilt. Please exercise the power you have to do the right thing. Carrying out the sentence now, when 7 of 9 witnesses have recanted, when a part of the evidence is the say-so of (possibly) the actual murderer, would bring discredit to the justice system of Georgia and the whole country. I urge you to do whatever you can to stop this execution.
