In 1995, my wife, Elaine, & I began working to revive local, healthy food for local people. We created, coordinated & vended at the seasonal Black Mountain Tailgate Mkt.
In 2003, we opened a year-round store for local, healthy food (Black Mountain Farmers Mkt) adding food distribution in 2008.
I also grow produce year-round.
We helped create the Mountain Tailgate Market Assn.
Since July 2009, I have focused on the food safety legislation & regulation issues including testifying at the NLGMA hearing in Charlotte on 10/22/09.
Elaine & I are the conveners of the informally organized Healthy Food Coalition so that members can empower each other to join together in appropriate actions that will make our food healthier & available to all Americans.

Harry commented on the petition |Charbel Chehoud has already demonstrated that he willingly fulfills the heavy responsibilities of being a US citizen. It is actions like this one by ICE that denigrate the reputation of the USA in the eyes of the world. Fortunately, it can still be corrected.
