Born in the midwest and strongly influenced by my grandmothers and great aunts. "I have lived in opposition most of my life and I rather like the role." (Eleanor Roosevelt) Masters degrees in Public Health and Social Work; have worked very hard for peace and justice. Live by my core values, which I have carried with me in my wallet since I was in junior high....a people person who is passionate about social justice and basic human rights....long history of working with Alaska Native and American Indians.

Cheri commented on the article |When I was a in private practice as a therapist I worked with many women from other countries who married men in the US military, had children and came to live in the US. Abuse, psychological, physical and sexual was very quite prevalent, I am grateful Privilege and her family were able to find support to live a different life. We all need to be diligent and steadfast in our local and global efforts to promote a non-violent world....and what about our military????
