    Please, I have spent overall around 40 days in Colombia, traveling throughout much of the country, particularly through Arauca and Putumayo, and I have witnessed first hand how dangerous it is, not merely to be a trade-unionist, but also to be on the left at all. Colombia in many places is dangerous to be even sympathetic towards any welfare policies. To sign a free-trade agreement with Colombia would be a terrible step back for justice and a complete disregard for human life. Whether the constitution of Colombia advocates democracy is ultimately irreverent at this moment. Corruption has completely undermined what democracy was ever supposed to exist. Please do not pass this free-trade agreement.
