What most of you don't know and many of you will not listen to is that health care is already limited by the state governments. This limitation is going on NOW.
The governments of each of the states have hired companies like Magellan to tell the providers if a client/patient may be treated. If a reviewer at Magellan or a similar company who is NOT the attending professional, says the client/patient does not need treatment then the client/patient must pay for their own treatment.
This is no different than insurance companies. A single payer model will not change this, in fact, it may make it much worse! The only way this will get better is to fire the monitary gate keepers like Magellan and let the on site professionals provide the services the clients/patients need.
If you are going to have a single payer system it needs to be modeled after the military or VA or some other countries. If you do that though, all doctors and allied professionals including mental health and substance dependence counselors need their education 100% financed by the government. That is what is happening in other countries to make sure they have a supply of doctors and other professionals.
Are you ready to pay for that?
Are you willing to ask medical, mental health, and substance dependence providers in your area what types of review process they must go through to get Medicaid, Medicare, and state funded payments for their clients/patients?
OR
Will you stick your head in the sand and misguidedly believe that providers simply bill Medicaid, Medicare, and the state and Medicaid, Medicare, and the state pay without prior to service review?
Thanks David Haisten for telling us who stands to gain if cap and trade is passed. He also stands to gain if people continue to ignore the histroy John Coleman, the Founder of the Weather Channel/Meteorologist, explains in this video.

As I said before, I agree Richard and now Phil. So does John Coleman the Founder of the Weather Channel/Meteorologist.
See his explanation of climate change at

Of course, if you simply want to ignore history and pay the higher costs caused by the carbon emissions caps, please ignore John Coleman's video.
Having said all of that and pointed those who are open to history in the right direction, I still believe that we need to use alternative fuel sources such as wind and solar power so that we are less dependent on other countries.
Dave,
Who is really providing fallacious information and for what purpose?
