I am a dedicated student activist and a proud feminist. I'm always thinking, dreaming, hoping, so much so that I sometimes struggle to stay present. I volunteer frequently to raise awareness for the issues I feel passionate about. My greatest love is art and while I feel that it is essential to life, I have always felt that I could not pursue my life dreams when so many others cannot. So I have dedicated my life to social justice. When I graduated high school I was invited to be an Ameri Corps VISTA with the PeaceJam Foundation and I got my first taste of international peace education. This ignited my passion to achieve social justice through education. I also had the opportunity to be a foot soldier for women’s rights as a canvasser for RAAP (the Rape Assistance & Awareness Program). I have volunteered with the Polaris Project to aid in grant research, community presentations and volunteer coordination. I feel very fortunate for where I am today and what I have learned.
