This weekend I watched C.S. Lewis' The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe again. It was just a few days after I'd been to a meeting with police investigators and others who shared the horrific "grooming" process that traffickers use to lure young girls into sex slavery and break their will. Their examples were not from other countries but right in my own city in the US.
So when I watched Narnia again and how the White Witch lured Edward, all I could think of were those stories. Traffickers, of course, are much more ruthless, but the parallel was certainly there.
Thank you for all you do to bring awareness about what's happening in the fight to stop human trafficking. I look forward to the next interview in your series.
