If you’d told me a decade ago that I’d be a crusader for animals, I’d have called you crazy. But in 2000, I walked into a barn full of horses and fell in love on the spot. With frequent visits, I came to know them as individuals with unique ways of expressing their common traits of innocence and integrity. Gradually, I became aware of many more sentient species and learned that their interests and needs are often frustrated by man. So I made it my mission to free animals – and humans – from the shackles of speciesist exploitation. It's a joy to share the journey with other intrepid, ethical humans who believe that the rights of animals to be unfettered (if wild), sheltered (if tame), saved from harm (if abused) require us to enlighten the ignorant. It's easy to lead receptive hearts and minds out of the sand trap of speciesism. As for those still clinging to conventionality, I do my best to love them into the light!
