We are looking for a just and sustainable world. The only way we will get this is to promise that ALL humans are to be treated fairly and have equal opportunity--and then show clear progress toward these goals. Otherwise the human race is at high risk of being a failed experiment--no matter how begun.
Many risks beset the future of the Human Race on Earth--which COULD BE SO BRIGHT. One wishes fervently for multinational business to moderate its cravings for maximum profits, and move to the next stage of human community and overall human well-being. After all, they hold the future of their own grandchildren, and those beyond, in their hands. There is NO WAY they can destroy the future of the least, and yet maintain a decent, humane, and advancing future for the rich and powerful.
If it comes to a "lifeboat out to the stars", it will hold very few. And there is no way they can carry the many riches of 100,000 years of "Becoming Humanity" with them. Ergo, that's NOT a very good answer. The far better one starts here and now, with the values that THIS NATION first stated as a preliminary proposition in the Declaration, and that we have wrestled with for over 200 years since. We don't want a "Future For Dummies." Wise up, Apple!
High-paid, high-visibility public figures ought to be in the FOREFRONT of the expansion of fair treatment and tolerance. This simpleton can apparently only be corrected by a stern parents' swat, which is for him the NHL
The death penalty is so ambiguous morally, a failure in terms of deterrence, and unbearably costly. In this case, the evidence is not air-tight with no conflicting elements--the only time such a penalty should even be CONSIDERED, although in my opinion it is dysfunctional.
