    Dan P is 100% correct.  There was a bunch of "do-gooders" (similar to the majority of posters to this site) about 30 years ago who decided to redistribute wealth from Americans to American Farmers via tariffs on imported food.  The result is American's drink Coke with HFCS and the rest of the world drinks it with sugar.

    Why is this surprising? McDonald's consumers have a choice between McDonald's, Burger King, Wendy's, etc.  If one serves them crap, they'll stop eating there.  School meals are provided by the "company" owned by the relative of the the highest ranking elected idiot in the state.
