The problems we have are better solved by targeting individuals who cause them than by targeting classes of people. If you kick out people who are trying to be part of the solution, what incentive are you creating for anyone to try?
It's a terrible thing to take a life for what seems good reason -- and then realize you've made a mistake. This doesn't seem to be a case of "beyond reasonable doubt", and should be reviewed.
