Carlos A commented on the petition |This is not a hate crime based on racism. Firstly, this man Daniel Adkins is not Hispanic, he is of Native American heritage, obviously. Hispanic is not a race but a cultural heritag from Hispania in southern Europe. This crime was not racially motivated, because the victim was not targeted because of his race. However, Daniel's family deserves justice and that is why I am signing this petition, but please do not make this about racism because is not.

Carlos A commented on the petition |I am hurt by these images, it's sad to see young people attacking and laughing at this transgender woman. It's a hate crime and the criminals must be prosecuted. Let this horrendous attack be a lesson for everyone to stop promoting homophobia at home and in public. Stop the hate!

Carlos A commented on the article |Marcelo Lucero was not a Latino -which means European- he ws a Native American man from Ecuador. The racist attackers were targeting "Mexicans" which is basically people of brown skin, short and with the Native features. I don't know why people keep missing the racial factor behind this, and to impose on us Europeans (Latino/Hispanic) identities.
