I am a graphic designer with lots of outside interests: illustration, stained glass, playing viola da gamba, recorder, hammered dulcimer, dumbek, doing massage, speaking German & French and wanting to learn Italian and Spanish next, creating wonderful delectables in chocolate, experimenting with ways to do sugar-free chocolate with stevia, cooking healthy meals to feed my family, sewing, costuming, singing, etc.

President Obama, take action now to move us closer to a world free of nuclear weapons

From what I've heard, we have enough nuclear weapons just in the US to blow up the Earth several times over. Do we really want to do that?! Why build more? I think we need to get rid of the arsenal we have. Can you imagine a beautiful, green earth with NO nuclear weapons at all? To me, that sounds like the beginning of paradise.

OMG do you know how many lego spaceships I built as a little girl? How many buildings? I had a huge box of lego toys accumulated by the time I moved away from home for the first time which I donated to my church, without any thought of gender--just that they were the best toys to use my imagination. Are you suggesting, perhaps, that girls don't have any imagination? Are not problem-solvers? Need to be trained to consume and "shop"? If 2012 is truly the "end of materialism world" as the Mayan calendar suggests, I think this marketing strategy will be outmoded so soon as to make it worthless.
