Same old song and dance.
Will it take the wisdom of Soloman to cut the baby in half? If that were the case then a warning would be given to all to evacuate the entire region because it should be nuked off the face of the planet and those willing to remain and die with the land they love (not the land they NEED or the land they WANT) would be worthy of taking care of it.
Instead of cultivating fields to feed the poor and the hungry of the world what is cultivated is a crop of hate and the yield of poisonous fruit has spread to the entire world.
The jews will always come back with the same rhetoric and the Palestinians will always come back with the same demands for a territory free of Israeli influence.
The jews fight because they can and the Palestinians because they have to in order to survive and flourish.
Who has he ability to end this?
It is time to stop pointing fingers and make that decision. The wisdom of Soloman is on the apporaching horizon but the region is no longer the Middle East... it is the entire world.
The problem isn't one of Jewish or Palestinian origin. The problem is man. We are unworthy of this paradise. All would rather hate each others differences (pointing at the spec in others and not seeing the log in ones self) than accept each other as being the same... human. But humility was never within the egotistical. Neither was compassion. -

Robin do you think posting a video of "what if" has a bearing on what is?
Some of us aren't as easily duped by emotion and seek real answers in real time, not seek solutions to future problems that will become certainty with the course you feel to be a solution. But then all futures are dependant upon a solution ... lets hope you make the right choice. Your current path hasn't been nor will it work. When will you see this?
I would ask for people to show restraint and not give in to that knee-jerk reaction.
An eye for an eye and tooth for a tooth and the whole world would be blind and toothless.
If we can't all just get along in the name of humanity then mankind is truly a lost cause. I think God is coming to that conclusion too. -

To the victor goes the spoils. (and also the ability to write history) That had been the historical record of old but in todays society with modern modes of communication the truth finds its way past the propaganda.
One could easily surmise that Israel's (and the whole of the Western world) fears are that a "rogue" Nation such as Iran or North Korea would obtain nuclear capabilities to strike out at a foe. Sadam Husein was also feared for striving to attain that goal.
Yet think about this for a second. Would you contaminate the air, ground water, and agricultural prospects within the region for revenge against an enemy? Biting off ones nose so to speak.
Doubtful this would be a solution sought by any and even Sadam knew this nonsensical approach would have hurt himself and his people in the long run. Israel during the first gulf war was expecting chemical attack and that would have been logical since a biological attack in this modern era of world travellers would have put all at risk even ones own.
The point I am trying to make is that men adapt to the need. The fact that warfare has become modernized - the "surgical strike" capability gained precedence over the diplomatic approach. Risk assessment is always a fore-runner to confrontation. In the minds of men are deemed the responsibilities to solve a crisis with limited risk.
Fools creating one risk out of another. The more rational approach would be to diffuse tempers and avert the crisis before it festered into a growing mass that when reaches critical has no means of regression short of all out victory.
There is no victory here people. Only more misery and suffering. We are at critical mass and that hair trigger has many hands poised to retaliate.
One could plea for calm until short of breath they would give up out of futility. One could also try to lead by example. Israel is setting the pace that few in this world are willing to face up to. They are making an example out of Hamas to stave off future attack and yet in the course they undertake are finding that it isn't Hamas that is the problem.
It is the mirror image staring back at them. -

The shame is that people have to get their news (or views expressed) from the comedy channel.
You know, reading through the comments the common theme is that Israel is trying to stop the rockets from falling on the women and children (like they were being targeted) but the reality is that in conflict one will use any means available to them and rockets are not only readily available on the arms market, but can be home-made.
So in trying to protect "their" women and children who by all current accounts aren't becoming victims (the "collateral damage" <--- it is called damage which reduces a life's worth) the IDF is targeting where women and children are known to be. You can't deny that they are known to be there, hence the dropping of leaflets. Where should they go?
The problem wasn't created with the firing of said rockets, the problem was created in the justification the Hamas and Palestinians and the rest of the Arab world feel. Now I don't think you need to be a rocket scientist to figure out the solution here. How do you stop the rockets? Eliminate the desire to shoot the rockets at you in the first place.
But no, what we have is "a war on terror" which is absurd. There is no defined enemy and no end to the prosecutable since for every life taken an increase (multi-fold increase) in "terrorists" is likely.
What is this? A make work program? You want Peace, earn it. War will only be prevented when all sides are content. Isn't that a word anymore? Do you feel the pulse of the world and see any contentment within its inhabitants?
No people, the reality is that there will never be world Peace because people decide they are more worthy than anyone else. Only when all are equal will all see each other as equal. The 1000 - 1 ratio is no longer a claim of prevention, it is a declaration of intent and as such there will be more to take up the cause.
Perpetual war as seen in the Middle East isn't the result of protection... it is the sum total of desperation. All options had been tried save the one that had any real chance of working. Unity of common goals and harmony within political spectrums. How did we all get so out of tune with each other?
God's patience wears thin. He will show the same mercy you show each other.
I love you all but I Love God more. Sorry, but you are wrong! Our most precious resource is life but few see beyond the economy of the moment. Inevitably, everyone has their dues to pay. Why is there so much of a deficit of morality? -

Put your Faith in a man (or woman) you are going to be let down. Faith belongs with God.
Michael that video is debatable. I saw that part on faux news about the cheering woman and it was later stated to be celebration from a soccer game.
Is that true? Who knows, NOBODY. I also saw news reports about five Israeli's who had come to America to film 9/11 and were setup on a rooftop in preparation before it happened. Is it true? Who knows. NOBODY - Except the conductor and the immediate participants. They will never tell you the truth so get over eating all of it up like its the Holy Grail of wisdom.
Don'y buy in to everything you had been led to believe. The mainstream media is controlled to sway opinion and if it comes right down to it, if Israel has nothing to hide (or fear) then why aren't international journalists being allowed into the region?
I think one can surmise from the bias of a particular report (whichever side it is coming from) that it is intended to firstly raise the emotional level and secondly to sway opinions.
God knows all hearts and minds and in the end He will be just. There is no justice in the minds of men. All are reacting instead of reflecting. All are enacting instead of reasoning. All are gullible instead of being rational.
It is obvious that what you see in the moment isn't the cause, but the product of an agenda. When will you grow out of this brain-lock?
You know, people seem to think that the biblical twelve tribes of Israel are Israeli. Israel was a proper name not a geographical boundary. Khazar's had adopted the Jewish personae but aren't Jewish.
The Zionists who control the events of a society (the money-changers) never went away, they just became more clandestine.
So let me ask a simple question that doesn't require an answer but mere soul searching.
Are any deaths over opinion justified? Who but God is qualified to answer. -

Charles, they are winning the war... of public opinion.
Unfortunately any truce veiled as a lasting peace/piece translates to same crap in a different pile if the Palestinians aren't allowed to live in freedom and with the same respect due to any.
Israel is confidant because the US backs it and has backed it historically. They are emboldened by it.
Similarly the historical record shows a tendency of violence coming from the Palestinians. (Even though they were given cause that isn't the view that is burned in memory obviously)
Bottom line it is doubtful this world can ever get along when the inhabitants are duped into actions.
Make no mistake, the issue here isn't one side versus the other... the issue is getting all sides drawn into it and the world will go through another world war.
That is how fortunes, political dominance, and grabs are made.
Robin you say Hamas can't be trusted... I trust them to not give up fighting for what they perceive as their right to live without being under Israels thumb unto perpetuity.
The occupied territory with Israeli settlements is a marked contrast to the refugee camps. Can anyone call this just? The settlements have cherry trees and orchards and the Palestinians are going hungry.
Wouldn't you continue to fight? An animal backed into a corner will bite. I think it is fortunate that the Palestinians don't have bigger teeth. Time tends to change things though and even old dogs manage to find their ferocity. Don't think the Arab brotherhood will look the other way.
This will be the last generation of perpetual misery. God will intercede when the lesson is learned. There is no righteousness in doing the wrong thing for the right reason.
Robin you also stated that "they" have ego problems. That door swings both ways friend. When a people are oppressed the wounds last and are ingrained into the younger generations thought processes. Just look at the black-slavery issue that America still faces even though slavery had been abolished. Hatred, fear, anger, and injustice tends to mold society.
Forgiveness was never in mans nature. Neither was remorse.
Evil might be winning the battle but will ultimately lose the war. The only issue to God is how many realized the difference.
Personally I feel mankind should be working together to get somewhere rather than stagnate. We have serious problems facing us all. Time tends to move forward even if men won't. -

The problem with the world around me is that all are using a recipe with a rotten egg and blaming each other over the salting or peppering of it. Call a spade a spade and comprehend that world peace will never happen until all wake up to one simple fact.
I saw Forrest Gump shake JFK's hand so it must be true. I never saw Jesus so he can't exist. It's called fallibility, gullibility, and plausible denial. Prove-ability never was in the equation.
A bullet is useless until a finger pulls the trigger. You want Peace? Eliminate war. Yes Michael, Utopian ideology but when you have nations rising against nations in perceptions of "them" it will boil down to all regardless of who was right or wrong.
Hamas is being funded by an entity just like Israel is. The entire world isn't aware of the distinction apparently.
Both hands of the same beast are wrong.
So Michael in answer to your repeated question of what I would do with rockets being fired at me... I would seek the reason it was being fired (where the only solution is) rather than try to stop them one at a time when there will always be more being made and the current trend increases those who want to put their finger on that trigger.
We reap what you sow. War by proxy. Go ahead, lock and load... the harvest will be good. Wasn't that the intent all along?

It occurs to me that there will never be world Peace until the Second Coming.
You can deny it - even deny the existence of God being or that He is the same for me as He is for you but bottom line, there is only one formula that works for World Peace.
Love one another.
When you find that Love you will have discovered that there is only one God, and that God is within us all, ALWAYS. How could He allow such atrocities to continue?
Teaching by example. Only when men evolve and learn the maturity of that simple lesson will He return to give us an education about what life really means and not to merely await His return out of fear or condemnation.

Michael you evaluate WWII as being about the Holocaust yet seem to overlook the underlying cause of it and every war ever fought (and remain to be fought unless we change methodology)
No friend, the root causes of war are economic. It is business on an unprecedented scale. The Holocaust was one aspect of a regime that sought to extinguish all undesirables whether mentally deficient, economically beneficial, geo-politically fortuitous, or opportunistic. All it took to rally a people behind the scheme was saying the right things at the right time then creating an emotional flash-point via the red flag op (Reichstag fire)
This scenario plays out for any war and if no war is pending a cause is created (current conflict case in point)
The only thing that prevents war is for people to wake up and realize that they are being played, have been played, and will continue to be played like a violin. The masters tune the strings and pluck them in the right sequence to create a symphony of death and destruction.
Personally I don't like the beat of war drums but for some that is all they know because that is the environment in which they grew up in. Does this tell you something about perpetuation?
It is never conducive to Peace .
As for being an open target anyone who could take another life for no reason is not only morally and ethically corrupt, they are pure evil. Evil needs to be recognized and with both sides taking pot shots at each other it can't be determined who is really the righteous one.
The last martyr. Or would you rather just keep killing each other and everything else instead?
That makes both parties evil and until one side makes that leap of Faith it will continue to the detriment of all.
Even if one side does take that leap of Faith there is no guarantee since the evil that is conducting misery will take steps to create the illusion that somebody is guilty. This is why there will never be world Peace until the second coming... because people are easily duped into believing.
History teaches well and the money trail never lies.
