  "Couldn't load contacts. Please check your email and password and try again."
  "Enter your email account password to get contacts. Only Google, Yahoo, MSN/Hotmail, and AOL accounts are supported at this time."
  So it appears that "I'd rather reach out to my email contacts instead" is dys-functional at best.

  BUT I received still more of the same notice for each time I posted a comment, tho apparently it was not necessary in order to have them "published".
  What a waste of server space.
  Now, one last try to "contact my email friends" and then I'm outa here - enuf time down the drain on what is prally a lost cause.

  I tried the link "I'd rather reach out to my email contacts instead" and I got an error mssg that said pls try again later ...
  Further, once we sign a petition, we get an email advertising FB recruiting.
  I don't need more spam and it takes sooooooooo long to do ANYTHING on ch.o these days it is not worth going into my account page to block the FB notices.
  And what's all this "Your Friend has not yet signed this petition"???
  Most of my friends have prally not even seen this since most of em have "left" in disgust.
  And my first comment has yet to be "published" ... wd not be surprised if it never makes the board.

  Almost every change to the ch.o system has made an already cumbersome site even more cumbersome and has dys-empowered ppl's ability to make a dif in many ways.
  This latest change takes the cake.
  I no longer have an active account on FB because it is way too spammy (among other things).
  I am boycotting FB because of various practices and I have been boycotting ch.o as well, not that it matters much except to me in that I do not allow them to waste my time/energy.
  I do not feel I can make a dif anymore on ch.o w/o sacrificing my entire life, which is totally pointless.
  I do not have much hope that any appeal to the estab will do any good since they seem to view a petition/letter to them as a statement of "us vs. them mentality", which I was accused of last time I wrote an "open letter" to the estab and various staff members ... AND one of my letters got shamelessly censored where the "author's" name/account was changed to "GoneFishingWithFredo"!!!!! in order to "close" it and block my access it.
  Will my comment here be censored having revealed this skeleton in the closet???

  Family Dollar Stores: Don't Pave Paradise!

  The Family Dollar Store we already have on the main drag in Taos is plenty.
  The people of Taos and surrounding area made it clear we do not want another Walmart.
  What makes you think the people of Taos and surrounding area want another Family Dollar Store?

  Appeals for Clemency and Reprieve from Execution for Troy Anthony Davis

  "Just Us" has been SERVED.
  Jim Crow is alive and still murdering without proving guilt -
  "The lunatic fringe" (~Bill Moyers) rules Georgia.
  Whatever the so-called "authorities" in this case have such a desperate need to hide, could not spring from innocent motives.
  Would that the sociopathic "rulers" could show as much dignity as Troy Davis.
