Very politically active but have joined up with change.org for another reason.

Last month my brother Stephen was killed in Peshawar Pakistan. He was the director of a consortium of NGOs' funded by USAID to bring about economic stimulus to the FATA region. He spent nearly 30 years in international aid and was an incredible brother and father. This was his first posting to a crisis zone.

However, his story and my familys' tragedy will not be unique if US policy is not changed regarding asymetrical security proceedures and the mixing of aid with military and or intelligence activities.

To help achieve this goal a foundation has been created (www.stephendvancefoundation.org). Please help us bring about the needed protections for those who work to bring an end to human suffering.

Attacks Against Aid Workers

Great article! My brother Stephen Vance was shot and killed last month in Peshawar Pakistan while the director for a consortium of NGOs funded by USAID to bring economic aid to the FATA region. His lifes' work is marked by innovative and sustainable programs that were culturally tailored.
