It appears that I'm just a bit more open-minded than you. In my mind, women are equal. I will look down equally upon a man or woman that has sex with random strangers. I consider the lack of personal restraint to be something unbecoming for either sex. Its trashy. and please tell me portillo what it is that we shouldn't stand for?

D commented on the article |Here is something that strikes me (no pun intended) as a bit of a dichotomy. Violence against women seems to be treated here as worse that male vs. male violence. Yet, at the same time you consider yourselves champions of equal rights. Really if you want men and women to be truly equal, violence against womens should be exactly the same as violence against men.

Freedom is this "right to act or speak freely: the right to speak or act without restriction, interference, or fear" If someone wants to say something completely contrary to popular belief or opinion they can. Take for example the Ku Klux Klan. Why is it they can say that black people and jewish people are the root of all evil and pro ana people can't encourage people to be anorexic? Just because something is stupid, or even harmful if followed, it doesn't mean they don't have the right to say it.

No this crap should not be banned. I definitely agree that its foolish and when I run accross pro-ana people I let them know how ridiculous it is. Banning them would be a problem, as some of you liberals may have forgotten there is a Bill of Rights in this country which recognizes, not grants, people's rights to free speech. I love how you people consider yourselves the champions of equal rights until there is something you disagree with, in that case ban it. Pathetic.

D commented on the article |This post is utterly ridiculous. Millions of animals die every year. Be it from euthanization, cars, dog fights, abuse, stupid kids, etc. Dogs dying from the iditarod is probably just under dogs dying from being hurled into space. If you're going to whine about the iditarod you're going to have to whine about all other animal death. However if those animals didn't die, if we instead let them roam around, they would form an ever growing swarm of wild animals that would be rife with disease and attacking people and other animals. Tell me please, without hurting any animals, how would you solve this problem.

That aside, we will make comments like that because we think they're funny and apparently so does everyone else. When you go on there and display a complete lack of a sense of humor about it, then of course you are going to get buried. Lighten up.
