melissa commented on the article |Why aren't our prisoners out there working the fields? Our tax dollars afford them the 3 meals a day, tv, showers, and various other luxuries. They should be out there repaying their debt literally.

Haven't people in developing countries been dying due to malnutrition for 1000s of years? It may sound cold, but if the countries can't support their population why don't we change the way we deal with the issue. Start moving the people out. Find water, build wells, give them technology? There's an old saying about continuing to do the same thing the same way over and over and expecting different results...
I do believe we have an issue, and yes North America contributes a lot to it. However, The earth has continually gone through global changes since the dawn of time. We should look at ways to become better stewards to our planet. Pointing fingers and complaining about the problem isn't solving anything
