January 2013: Note to Self

Strong indications of global warning are continuing to come in. The local paper recently ran a story on the accelerated rate of tree death. The salmon run is almost nonexistent. Global warming has not stalled and it not reversing. We have a very limited amount of time to make changes and in some cases we are likely all ready too late.
What I think has happened is the economy is the primary issue that has the public's attention. Global warming is future undefined crisis to most people but the economy is tangible and immediate.
But I personally can do very little about the economy. I can do something about global warming, even if it is small. Many small actions coming together will add to up something big.

Fatalistic Friday: Let the Bush-Cheney hangover begin

It is alarming that global warming is last on the list of concerns. My list is economy, jobs, global warming. The influence that I have over the economy and jobs is limited but I can help stop global warming. If each individual makes changes in their lifestyle to combat global warming we can make a difference but it will not happen if everyone puts global warming last. We do not have enough time - we need to take action now.
