  The Real Food Challenge

  We send students to school to get an education so why would schools not be more interested in teaching our children better eating habits?  Organic and local foods are less likly to cause allegic reations than processed foods and are healthier.  Healthy food and will keep kids more alert and ready to learn.

  The Federal Employees Health Benefits Program offers federal employees up to 300 plans operated by private health insurance companies.  These plans must include certain minumum service set by congress and no one can be denied service for pre existing conditions.

  
  

   

  
  

  Why can we not ALL have this same option?  Why can't congress simply say that ALL insurance comapnies operating in the United States must provide a basic level of care at a set rate?   Allow private insurance to operate but regulate the industry just as congress does with so many other industries in our country.

  Why People Aren't Hearing the Gay Message

  Life is not about SEX and that applies to Homosexuals and Hetrosexuals.  Each of these terms "homosexual" and "hetrosexual" themselves are not about SEX but about ATTRACTION.  You can be gay without ever having sex your entire life so I do not understand why so much focus is put on this.  Being gay means you love someone or are attracted to someone of the same sex (i.e. gender).

  
  

  Gay Marriage is not condoning "deviate sex" but is allowing two consenting adults to become a family and enjoy the legal protections that straight couples now have.  No church owns the copyright on the word "marriage" and marriage is not a religious ceremony explicitly spelled out in the Bible.  Marriage is a legal act that should be offered to ALL people in the pursuit of happiness.

  No More Pencils, No More Books: Eliminating Senior Year

  In the movie "Lions for Lambs", two students suggested the option of skipping the Junior year of school to join the Peace Corp., AmeriCorps, or ROTC and serve abroad or in one of the 500 poorist zip codes.
