I was an alternate delegate pledged to OBama in 2008. Universal Health Care, a desire for social justice and advocacy for those with disabilities are apart of who I am.
One of my current desires is to find a way to communicate the necessity of reducing unnecessary administrative costs in the Social Safety Net.
Daily I see duplicate and unnecessary and costly administrative functions from local, State and Federal Programs. Individuals in need spend so much time on repeated applications providing the same information to various levels of government and agencies that it becomes a full time career. Then someone like me needs to be paid to navigate the complicated system for them.
In the administration of Health insurance it is a very similar situation and keeps money from supporting the actual direct care and services needed.
We can do more with what we have and have more for the actual purpose intended if we carefully examined and eliminate unnecessary complexities.
