I am an Agriculture graduate (1998/99) with a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture and various short courses certificates such as Food Security Programming, Organic Farming, Greenhouse Construction and Management and Building and Management of Cooperative Societies .
I have 11-year experience in Food Security and Rural Development activities gained with NGOs, Ministries.My strength is in team building, capacity building, proposal writing, programming and am proficient with project cycles management (PCM) and reporting requirements. I have more knowledge in managing and administration Humanitarian Aid, Food Aid programs but also an above average knowledge of finances and Human Resources.
I enjoy working on designing projects, initiating new projects and innovation and imparting knowledge to the people I work with, I am also a very attentive listener and like learning new and useful ideas.

Salim commented on the article |Civil society in the Occupied Palestinian Territories and around the world reacted strongly to the Israeli attacks in Gaza.
The violence in Gaza continues to escalate for a second week as Israel mounts a ground offensive, prompting a humanitarian emergency. Medical facilities are being pushed to the brink as casualties increase, and Israel is refusing the ceasefire proposals.
They held an open forum for taking action in Gaza , and released a list of simple steps people can take to help civilians in crisis. The group is urging people to contact local media and political leaders to apply pressure to end the attacks, to organize and join local demonstrations, to pass out flyers with facts about Gaza, to fly a Palestinian flag, and follow the call by Palestinian civil society for boycotts, divestments and sanctions against Israel until it agrees to abide by international law.

Salim commented on the article |The extensive violence and high casualties from the Israeli military operation that began on 27 December in Gaza, overshadowed much of the difficult situation that had prevailed during the rest of the month.
The compounded effects of the low truckload imports and the December closure culminated on 18 December when UNRWA suspended its food assistance program to 750,000 residents of Gaza due to the depletion of its wheat grain stocks. The situation in December generated other peaks:
the shortage of over 100 essential pharmaceuticals in the Gaza Strip; suspension of cash distribution by the Ministry of Social Affairs and UNRWA more than 100,000 of the poorest families in Gaza due to the lack of cash notes; the shutting down of the Gaza power plant five times throughout the monthaffecting over half a million residents and all aspects of daily life, including sanitation, water and power supply to households, schools, and civilia institutions; the doubling of the amount of raw sewage
dumped into the sea (to 40 million litres), due to the absence of power and fuel for the wastewater treatment plant; the closing of almost all cooking gas distribution centers in Gaza, due to the lack of gas supplies; 60% of the population receiving running
water only once every 5-7 days.
WFP has been unable to preposition stocks; in case of an emergency, it has no food available within the Gaza Strip."
