As someone who works for a local food bank and is a frequent Trader Joe's customer, I'm appalled to hear that Trader Joe's doesn't have the practice of giving unsellable (but still edible) food to local food banks. That's really bad on your part. Almost every other grocery store in the area works with our food bank. I think you guys should be ashamed of yourselves. We could feed a lot of people with that food. And some of Trader Joe's products would be perfect for homeless populations and after-school programs, both of whom have limited cooking facilities, but who could use single-use products. This is something so simple that you can start doing that would chance a lot of people's lives.
