Thanks Stephanie, for spreading the word about rodeos, which are often overlooked by animal advocates, and also this new development of the PRCA trying to "horn" its way into European bullfighting arenas. Steve Hindi'as website (www.sharkonline.org) is the gold standard when it comes to rodeo and bullfighting information, and I would advise all interested parties to sign up for his email newsletter so you know who to write to about what.
This again proves my theory that for all its openness, America is one of the most puritanical nations on earth. I don't think the protests against PETA's use of sex in ads have as much to do with outraged feminism as with a general discomfort about sex. IMO (and although I have other problems with this group), PETA is doing things exactly right as far as its sexy ads and protests go: it's drawing attention to issues that would ordinarily be ignored. And hey, PETA has also used sexy male bodies in its ads. So what? We're sexual creatures. It's nothing for feminists to be ashamed of!
I like to call Berman's group the Center for Animal Slavery and I send them comments from time to time about their outrageous anti-animal agenda, but I didn't know anything about Berman himself. Sounds like a real charmer!
Humans are not the only species on earth. They just act like it.-my favorite bumper sticker
If people tried to do to other people what they routinely and self-righteously do to dogs, cats and other animals, both wild and domesticated, they'd be in maximum security prisons for life. Breeders remind me of Hitler and his Master Race nonsense.
