  Where Is the Progressive Jewish Community Right Now?

   There was a pretense by the Zionists that a divided Palestine was acceptable, but to them it was a necessary in order to create the illusion of forming two states dictated by the UN mandate. The resources for the new Israel came from wealthy supporters and the governments that wanted to replace Britain as a controlling influence in the region.How do we reconcile that fact that right of self-defense normally does not include right of disproportionate use of force? If somebody attacks you with a stick and you use a gun in self-defense, that might be OK, but if you throw a hand grenade into a bar full of people because your attacker may be there, this is a crime, by most standards. Don't we risk that the world's public opinion will fill in the missing side of the skewed moral equation you seem to be selling here with the obviously implied one based on
