  • Tobacco = Evil

Here is what I've learned about tobacco addiction.

Look up the book series by Allen Carr.
    One of his books is
"How to stop your child smoking".

Allen personally ran a stop smoking clinic.
He strongly advised against the use of nicotine patches.

Allen realized that the simple way to stop smoking was to realize that nothing positive came from nicotine.

Once you realize the evil of nicotine, and how the addiction
process works, you will spontaneously quit smoking.

When your body takes in nicotine, it must adapt to the poison.

Your body efficiently removes the nicotine.

When enough of the nicotine is removed, your body must adapt back to the lack of nicotine.

The mind knows that this unease associated with having to adapt back to the lack of the poisonous nicotine can be removed by intake of more of the poison.

If you don't realize completely that nicotine is a poison, you
will fall into the trap of nicotine addiction.

Once you do realize that nicotine is a poison, and understand why the body becomes addicted to poisons, you will stop smoking immediately.

After about three weeks you will become completely adapted to not having the poisonous nicotine in your body, and the addiction will be finished.

You might object, "What about all those people who tried to quit, and were miserable for months or years?"

This is why it is so important to realize why you want to quit.

If you quit because you realize that nicotine is a poison that
the body has adapted to, and that adapting to the lack of that poison is necessary, you will not be miserable during the
    adaptation back to normal.

Instead, you will interpret those cravings and feelings of unease as proof that you are kicking the addiction.

If you quit for any other reason, your mind might eventually
trick you into taking the poison up again.

To avoid the addiction cycle from starting again, you must avoid any exposure to tobacco smoke and all other sources of nicotine.
